Post subject:  Does anyone recognise this bike

A mate of mine is looking after this bike for his employer, the history is a little bit sketchy and all we really know is that it was built for Daytona around 2007. It has an R1 front end on it and has a chain drive instead of the belt, the engine has been heavily breathed on and has a pressurised air box on it.
I am in the process of getting my racing licence back (after 17 years !!!) and hope to have a few outings on it next season, with perhaps a parade lap at the TT and the Manx, I am a lucky fella.

Isn't that the bike that started out as a Uly and then had the R1 front end and modified rear subframe put on ? also ran a belt primary drive and also a forward exit exhaust at one time which gave it a very distinct sound .

I think you're correct Kev. It's one that Matt built for racing. Iirc the primary gearing was lowered a touch and put more torque through the gearbox. It was based on a Ully.

Cheers for that boys, there is a fountain of knowledge on here and I knew you wouldn't let me down. The bike has got an exhaust that exits at the front of the faring and it has got quite an odd note to it as well. I will keep you updated with progress reports occasionally

I think it made about 103 rwhp. Not that the peak number mattered as much! ;)
