 Post subject: Metal Mule side panniers

Anyone have these fitted? I have just bought a set with the rack and have no instructions, i dont see where the racks attach to the frame?

seems to be a lack of pictures out there of them fitted to a buell ulysses

They look upside down...

The bits sticking out bolt into the insides of the rear of the footrest hangers (1/4 UNC IIRC)

You will then see where the other holes line up under the grab rail.

Obviously the joining bit should miss the Tyre, it’s mot obvious that it will from looking at the pic so it may be the wrong bit.

Thanks, I have the instructions as well now from metal mule after a email to them. Im assured these are for a Ully so they should fit!

I will have another go tonight if i get time

going to get the proper fitting kit from Metal Mule first as it includes spacers etc. Ill add some pics when I get it done!

ended up sourcing the bolts and spacers myself as MM didnt have some of the imperial bolts anymore. came in the post today so just went and fitted one side, fits a dream and looks very good! im happy and ready for some miles and camping come March! brrrrrrr......

ill get the other side on tomorrow when I can get the bike out of the garage and post a pic for the pic lovers out there!

We've found the Touratech system on our Ulysses to be extremely useful and rugged. Used with inner bags they're a doddle to unload/load.
