Hi all, In general, bikes pose fewer clearance problems than cars, however sometimes we have an issue because so many componants are crammed in in a small space. I recently had a challenge in trying to drop out the HT coil from a tube framed Buell. It seemed that I would either have to break my forearm in three different places to get a Torx key in there, or drop the engine. I ended up buying a nice little bit of kit (little being the operative word). It is made by Wurth and is a 2 inch long angled ratchet bar: https://www.amazon.co.uk/W%C3%BCrth-Soc ... B00DTTPENC (I paid rather less than the price quoted here, by buying direct from a Wurth outlet.) Anyway, this post is to let you know that I have this kit and am willing to lend it out to anyone who needs it (on the basis that, if you break it, you replace it). It is small enough to post at low cost and could be a Godsend if you are struggling for clearance. (I successfully changed the coil but still didn't solve the problem - oh well, onwards and deeper into the electrics.) Dave |

That's pretty. I have something similar... https://store.snapon.com/Ratcheting-Off ... 43970.aspx and if you are in a pickle, these help too: https://store.snapon.com/Ball-Hex-Bit-S ... 44340.aspx I can't recall paying them much for them, and as it's Blue Point, they are probably badge engineered from another manufacturer's line... Here's something cheaper... Think I have one somewhere... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T264350-Tride ... 1281518549 Anyway, back to the electrical problem, what are the symptoms? |
