Hi

I came home from a short ride on my X1, and began to check a few things over on the bike, and discovered something was missing from the centre on the front engine pulley, where a needle roller cage was visible, what should fit in there?

Also there is about 2-3mm movement of lateral play (to and fro) between the front brake disc and carrier, i guess some play should exist but is this excessive and dangerous. (It is a Braking Wavy disc assy)

Thanks in advance Steve

Oh dear. Sounds like you should have had a lube plug to keep the needle rollers happy. :maz: will be along in a minute, but if it were mine, I would:

1. Tap the needle rollers back in with a nicely fitting socket
2. Fit a lube plug and squirt in plenty of LM grease
3. Buy an EBC Pro-Lite disc
4. Buy and fit a Lucky Hands oil pump drive gear (to save you coming back to tell us your engine has lunched)

Any pics of your bike? I love pics me...

Hi

Thanks for your replies.

Briefly browsing through the links you suggested, it seems i need to get in touch with Maz for this to get sorted. This is going to scare the ££££ out of me, from reading past threads, as there are other items requiring attention.

See photo of my new purchase.

So if anyone recognizes their old bike please get in touch.

Steve

Get it up to maz. It's the best thing you could do for it if it's a keeper or you could sell it to me for a couple of grand :hehe:

It's a Rizoma tuber pulley Clive. No longer made I'm afraid. Though Twin motorcycles do 61 and 55 tooth blanks I think then you need to ask a machining genious like big Andy to weave his magic. Hey presto :yup:

They need hard anodising after machining. Then powder coating to a colour of your choice but not powder coating the teeth
