bellypan for tubers?

I have my new shock ready to fit but would like to give it some additional protection. I thought somebody might have produced a belly pan but cant find anything rooting round the worldwideinterweb.

Or am I going to have to make one myself????

I believe they are also called a chin spoiler
Something like THIS
If it fits a X1 I'm sure you'll get it to fit a M2

And the Airtech one will?
I remember Biggles's S1 had a belly pan...bike was prepared by Maz, so maybe enquiries made in that direction would be better

I think the BOCP part number stands for Buell Oil Catch Pan so it must be fully enclosed round the bottom of the bike to retain any spilt oil and if oil cant escape downwards one would have to assume it will give protection from dirt off the road coming upwards?

You are probably right but the Engineer in me is reluctant to bolt £600+ of highly engineered shock absorber with exposed finely toleranced shaft and seals about 5 inches above the road surface and directly behind the front wheel throwing all sorts of detritus at it without at least some form of protection. The one I have bought isn't full enclosed like the one I am taking off.

More or less, unless it is one of those that is less, then less is indeed less. lOl
