I'm really drawn to getting another buell there are a couple of nice tuber x1s on eBay I like but also I have a urge to get a late model xb12s saw a mint 09 one a while ago ..so my question is am I going to hate the old tuber find it agricultural after my xb9 and better off with a xb12? Also advice on the correct sort of money to be paying for either ? The mint X1 is 5.5k too much money ? And a tidy xb12 is worth what ?

Cheers in advance wobb

It's quite possible. I've had tubers and XB's. Currently just have an S1. I wouldn't want to get rid of it, because I'd only want one again, but I would like an XB12 as well. They are a much easier ride, and less prone to bits dropping off lOl

Got an m2 and a bolt . Cyclone brilliant for touring and passenger. The bolts for scratching and blasting :yup:

You are welcome to ride my X1 and S1 and get the agricultural thoughts out of your mind...

But I fancy another couple too, an S3 and another S1...

I'd love to ride your x1 pash but I don't think u would be to impressed with me putting the throttle on the other side ))

The other reason a x1 appeals is it's got a pillion seat my missus is the size of a hobbit but I wouldn't put her on the back of my xb9s ...the x1s on eBay at 5.5k to much or about right ?

A bit more than few years ago, tidy ones were going for less than 2k. I paid 2k for a ropey one a few years ago. Unless it has good pedigree, 5.5k for one is far too much IMHO. 2.5k should get you something up and together ready for you to fettle to make it yours... 01/02 model years are the ones to have...

Yea all the ones I keep seeing are all over 5k :( admittedly they look mint..so anything over 4K is paying to much ?

Bear in mind it's my opinion, unless it has good pedigree, anything more than 3k is tops...

Minters are fine if you are going to keep th mint. I'd rather be riding than polishing, and after riding I'd rather be eating cake.

Yea I want a rider ...good to see a man with love for the great and mighty batenburg ;). Are the tubers more Harley based less highly strung and a bit simpler than a xb engine ?

Easier to work on but not much in terms of performance between 98- tuber engine and XB...
