looking for some trail tyres for uly with a reasonably aggressive tread pattern for trailing in the alps next year.

rear tyres are easy to find, but a 17" front is a problem.

considered buying a 120 rear and turning it around to fit the front.

any ideas?
cheers

Richard.

Check out Flat Track type tyres. They should be good on slab and gravel. A few places sell them, they seem popular with the Hipster type bikes.

Avon Distanzias have a similar tread pattern, they're ok for gentle off road use and good on tarmac, had a pair on my 350.

A new tyre from Avon, to replace the Distanzia - 90% on-road / 10% off-road...

On-line reviews so far are favourable.
