It had to happen, I've nearly done it once before.

Rode into work yesterday in sub zero temps, freezing my bit's off, locked the bike up and went into work.

Shortly after five, with the mercury still hovering around zero I went to get on my bike and noticed the neutral light on very dimly.

bugger :headbang:

A colleague tried with a set of jump leads but they did very little - had to wait 40 minutes for the missus to turn up with some decent jump leads and it fired straight up.

I'd like to think I wont make that mistake again....

Similar, I was the design engineer for Jaguar looms and the set I have are made from Jag XK220 battery cable, 4m long and hefty enough to crank a big diesel direct - not much use when they are six miles away though.

Gonna look over the wiring diagram and see what wire I need to pull to disconnect the parking light circuit completely.

Or use the key correctly...

:)

Good idea in theory, but the key moves too easy from steering locked to parking lights on - other bikes I've had you had to push the key in or overcome a sturdy sprung detent.

I'm bound to mess up again

I've no real use for parking lights anyway, unless I need to flatten the battery for some reason.
