i just looked on the xb centre website and noticed they want £61 for a pair of front wheel bearings!how can shops justify these prices when you can get the same or better bearings from your local bearing shop for about £7 each??do they think we are stupid or do people not bother to search out the best price?

I think a lot of people just don't realise that you can buy them direct from the bearing suppliers plus a lot of people think that you are better buying manufacturers parts rather than aftermarket parts.
The thing with bearings is they are made by someone else anyway.

Cause it,s got the brand name on the box they think that it, s the best that they can buy,(for an inflated price),
we know that all main dealers rip ya off with spare parts when you can obtain exactly the same product much cheaper elsewere.

Maybe you should tell your local dealer too...

I dont think the XB Centre thinks you are *stupid*, they are offering you a Genuine Buell solution, it is your choice to accept that solution or another.

I would have said a fiver was more the price of an SKF 6005-2RSH front wheel bearing...

Understand that people may not have the confidence to select bearings from a catalogue...
