Hi. So like in a topic. My one is 130 135 on the road hard to say everything happen so fast So bike totally stock. Ecm not race. 15000 on the clock. New clutch. I know bike is old but around 100 hp should do the job. I was expect cut out around 140 m/h. What I notice rpm's don't go more like 5000 rpm on fifth gear. I'm worried this is my drive style . maybe I should hold rpm's around 7000 thru third forth to fifth gear to keep engine close max hp? Please let somebody smarter then I explain me that.

Presumably you have UK/Europe gearing which is taller than domestic US gearing? If you have, you will be amazed how the bike comes alive when fitted with the lower US gearing. I doubt top speed would be any different, but it would rev more than 5k in top gear then.

BTW, only in the marketing persons dreams is the bike real world 100bhp, especially stock. I would have thought 130 mph was about right, on a track or closed road, naturally.

Fit 55/29 if you don't have it already and a US speedo. That should get you 20% faster.

My X1 tops about 130 if you have a favourable conditions, it did that speed with standard gearing and also with the lowered US gearing. the lower gearing just makes them more lively getting there . If i remember correctly when i had it dyno'd with standard gearing it pulled 162mph on the dyno at the redline. They just don't have enough power to pull that speed on the road though

Bike is great. Got couple engineering faults but nothing major. Using it every day. I was ride two Japanese bikes Kawasaki gpz500. and Suzuki or Kawasaki 750 don't know for sure and didn't liked. High rpms tired me and on low rpm bike is lazy. Tell me if I got hallucinations. No money for new bike now and selling this no worthy for me. Need to care about it New gear box is need idea. Gonna buy somewhere. What about race ecm what this gonna do?
