A hydraulic clutch will not reduce the pull weight.

A couple of the companies like Free Spirits did, or may still do, a soft clutch ramp lever which may help. It makes it easier on the hand, but nothing is free, you have to move the lever further. Maz will know the answer if the poor bloke has any time left to speak and breath ! :yup:

The Magura release mech, NOT the lever extender that fits to the OEM release, is the best solution but as Tadpole says, you dont get anything for nothing in this world and you cannot defy the laws of physics ie. adjustment is absolutely critical with these conversions due to the trade off.......get it wrong and you're into circa 400 quid just for the new clutch parts you'll need :)

I've used the Muller Power clutch ramp on a couple Buells and had good luck. The ramp angle is steeper and requires less angular lever pull to disengage the clutch. The claim is 20% lighter pull. I guess it could be measured with a fish scale or something but I think I noticed a slight difference, just not sure about the 20%...maybe 10%. It became moot when I went to an extra clutch plate and stiffer springs to handle more HP.

There are some reports of not adjusting it properly but I really don't know how anyone could go wrong with it. :?: One of those things where certain people should just stay away from spanners, I'm guessing.

Either way, I feel it's a better solution than the ones that have an extended arm. As has been said, you can't get something for nothing when it comes to physics.

If it is lighter and you're getting the same lift on the plates, it can only be down to less frictional loss in the cable.
