Just got back from a 10 day tour of France and Spain on my Uly. Weather wasn't great but 2 days in France were hot, no problems with the seat getting hot but I couldn't ride with my knees against the frame, found it hard to get used to riding and trying to keep a gap between legs and fuel tank.
Thought about what I could use to insulate, knee slider on the inside ;)
Looking at CJ's bike on July's calendar it appears to have something on the frame in the right position, not sure if anything thin would do much to stop heat but just wondering if there is already a solution. Tried a search but not come across anything yet.

They're 'Techspec Gripster' American made frame pads. They work a treat, both in terms of providing insulation from heat and protecting the paint finish. Highly recommended :yup: ....

A Google search shows that there's various UK distributors for these products.

A bit more info from 2011 when I fitted them:

FYI - XB frame protectors made by http://www.techspec-usa.com and supplied by http://www.speedycom.co.uk

Part number 62-0086-SS fits XB12X, XB12SS and XB12STT.
