Thinking of trying to get my brake lever a bit easier to get my foot on, the gear lever pad sticks out more so ok. What would the size of the thread be, was wondering if a stud extender could be used to lengthen pad?
Part of the difficulty may be my air filter pushing my leg out a bit, don't want to get a forcewinder as I like the look of what I have on it, teardrop shape, was wondering to if this can be drilled so that the narrow part points forward?

While I'm posting here's air filter from a distance, and a hole in dash that I've not seen on other S1's. Cant see a reason for it just goes straight through but I saw something like it the other day on a M2 I think

That hole is where the light element has dropped out from a warning light for an aftermarket alarm system which would have been fitted to the bike at some point

Hi Griff. I can't see why the air filter can't be rotated, and that will improve your knee-room, but the filter cover will still project rearwards of the carb mouth... I had the same problem and the Force type set up (where it all goes forward) is the answer...

They must be the crappiest foot pegs ever fitted to a bike, almost dangerous. I`ll send you some of the next type they put on for postage. Or get some oberons.

Cheers for the offer topgumm will send you a pm.
I did wonder if hole was for a warning light for something but there are no spare wires or sign of an alarm having been fitted, maybe they made a good job of removing it, or only started installing it. It had only one owner, done 3500 miles but was 12 years old when I got it but seems to have had quite a few modifications in that time.
