Hi guys,

I set out to check my timing today & while removing the rear plug, I managed to snap the lead out of the crimp at the plug end.

My local HD dealer in Walthamstow are useless and do not stock these so my question is.....

Can I make up a new plug lead if I get the bits from say Halfords, or do I need to purchase the stock item which will mean waiting weeks for it? Oh, and they are £10 each from the ripoff HD wasters

Urgent advice would be appreciated.

Phil.

can you prise open the crimp, trim back the lead and recrimp, or isn't there enough free lead?

I know them so well . I went there for some leads the other week to be told the same thing. Turns out I do not need them so saved myself £20 and lost them a sale :D

Another thing, the plugs were not tightly fitted. The bike was only serviced (10k) a month ago. Should I have a pop at the mech or is this a Buell thing?

Useless isn't the word for them.

They are thick to I noticed. I've only had my Buell for a couple of months and I think I have more knowledge than them.
