Been suffering with low tank range and no reserve, decided to investigate tonight, took fuel tap to bits, prodded and poked and now get 100 miles before reserve instead of 75 miles and reserve now works so all in should be good for 120ish without stopping. |

Put a manta tank onto my S1 on Sunday , not sure of the range though. Pile of "fluffy" fuel came out when I cleaned it out , petcock was clogged. |

Same sort of problem here, gauze on filter was clogged just blew everything out, cleaned inside of tap and its a different bike! |

I see this all the time now with modern fuels......also the paint 'bubbling' thing.....my S1W went 13 years with no 'bubbling' whatsoever....took it to Em's day in 2011 after a years lay up and within 2 weeks the tank looked like the elephant man  Range on all my manta tank bikes is 120 to reserve/fuel lamp.......doesn't matter how you ride them

on my S3T ( carb ) i have got to 260km a couple of times without hitting reserve. |
