on sat coming back from donington ,the A5 was somewhat flooded, cars abandonded
at Markyate , just past dunstable.
flash floods /rian/thunder and lightning.

We plodded on through deep and ddeper water until reaching the A5/m1 roundabout, a fellow biker shouted from high ground not to go any further, 2-3 feet up to bottom of tank, even though panniers caught water/river .I carried on two up with panniers on to a spray ridden m1.
All our gear worked , teknic re proofed textiles, hg goretex gloves(never had dry hands before) , sidi black rain.
So although scary and the hail did hurt a bit the ully and us managed to get through and home to west sussex. On our way down the m25 - I spotted a bird ,so land was not far away. blimey what a ride, now cleaned tide marks of ully.

so quiet happy for this years juant to prynees , yes where it does rain a lot.

I was crawling in a pond which formed beneath our Landie in that. It was entertaining, wasn't it.
