Ah, and there was me looking on the Spondon website, and scratching my head! :oooops:
Where can I see one?
To be fair though, I don't see stress risers on that mount, only nice radiused corners.
He does some nice levers too.
You'll have to bear with me Fella's, I'm new on here so I don't know everyone, and what they do.

Thanks for the replies. :yup:
Mick.

Hhhhmmmmm, they make some shiney aluminium shit, if I see anyone with one fitted I'll laugh at them, seriously, I've never seen one on a bike and they are full of stress risers.

Enough of the slagging, I make mine from H15 aluminium, i would estimate at least 50 of them sold and never any problems and mine are cheaper :sad1:

Just so everyone who might want one, mount in untreated finish £110.00 each, bolts at whatever they cost at the time (currently £18.50 a pair) and you must fit a new set and a tenner post and pack, so £138.50 to your door or get maz to fit you one.

Can do other finishes, the xb head one is anodised black at an extra cost.

These are the Guys you need for fasteners.

Even NAS bolts aren't that expensive!
Here's some billet stuff I recently had done on one of my other projects.

With all due respect mate, that's Bollocks.
Sharp inside corners are stress raisers, all those inside corners that I can see have fillets.
The billet disc bells I've attached a picture of, have part numbers CNC machined into them. They where made by an outfit who are second to none in the motorsport world. (So do the calipers, and they're an AP F3 caliper)
If the engraving, as you call it where stress raisers, they sure as hell wouldn't do it.

Credit where it's due, the parts made by Mr. Spondon have a lovely finish. :yup:
But I think the crowd on e-bay have turned out a nicer looking (Less chunky) component.
But saying that, there's no mention of which material it is.
I certainly can't see what ther is to :rotfl: about?

Anyway, all opinions apreciated. :)

Cheers,
Mick.

Have you had a look what its holding up? and thought about what happens when it fails?

Bolts are rediculously priced your right, blame h/d for that not me because as it happens I was supplying those for less than I get charged for them, for your information I supply the following information, I reckon that F911 bolts are the best you can buy, if you want to save a few quid go ahead but ffs don't bang on like you know what your talking about.

lOl Yea whatever fellas.
I didn't mean to get yer hackles up.
Yes I like drinking beer and talking shit with my mates.
Mr. Spondon, to be fair you didn't say which bolts you are using.
They are indeed good quality. :yup:
But a NAS bolt ain't far behind with a tensile rating of 160,000 psi and a shear rating of 95,000
Can't knock you for wanting the best quality you can get. I would too.
FYI, I use a 12.9 HT Caphead on my car with a tensile strength of 175,000 psi and a shear strength of 75,000, and I trust them to stop a car that will be geared for 165mph. Most fasteners work in shear anyway.
Have a nice evening fellas, don't take my comments personal.
:sun:

Regards,
Mick.
