even after 35 years of running and maintaining british bikes i could not find out what was wrong so i gave it to a dealer down south who i wont name at the moment and they decided it needed re wiring.im a bit limited when it comes to working on the bike as ive only got a garden shed to work in.

was just wondering why , as it seems a bit drastic
surely a wiring fault shouldn't be that hard for a main dealer to fix
a few broken cables by the headstock should be fairly straight forward

what was the symptoms , or problems :?:

Just had a similar thing with my Granada. Apparently the fuel pump was only getting 9 volts so the auto sparky wired a new feed in from the relay to the pump. Car runs fine now.

i dont know what to do now as i managed to negotiate a price for the repair but if i back out it will probably cost me the same for the labour so far.so i think ill give them till the end of december to sort their life out.do you think every big company in the world is out to shaft as many people as possible?????
