Only recall was the rear shock and that's been done already.

There's shit loads of upgrades between 2000 and 01......which is why I always tell folk to consider nothing other than buying the 01 version

I can't believe there wasn't a recall on the yellow paint.

So what is the crack here? For example, an S1 I own needs a recall shock, Riders tell me they don't exist anymore and I have heard from other sources that Buell UK will tell you it is a *time expired* recall. I understood they were recalled cos there as a danger it could fail, causing an accident. So, do I just keep riding, till it fails, then take Buell to court for allowing me to ride something dangerous? Or do I take them to court now for not changing it and get them to fund an AST?

Why weren't the recalls done by the previous owner???? Riders wouldn't have any interest at all in your S1 doesn't really fit in with what they do now. Have only ever seen 1 tuber (X1 I think) in there in the 4 years I have been buyimg my Buell parts there. In fact can't ever remember seeing one in the carpark

Check with VOSA. I wasn't aware that safety recalls were subject to time constraint :?

Or check with 1203. he's changed job now, but he helped me get a recall shock fitted in similar circumstances when the dealer was a little, err, "reluctant" :P

Riders are willing to help, but they think that there are no shocks left now. They said there was a "round robin" email sent to all the dealers trying to track one down.

I think my question is, if there are no shocks left, where does the liability lie?
