i replaced the cps on mine last year, noticed that when connecting the three pin plug together that one of the pins was pushed back out of the connector due to its locating tab not holding it in place resulting in a no start. i have also had the same on one female pin on the ecm connector.
Just clutching straws again kev. :yup:

;) ..... I'll recheck them but they all appeared to be located securely ....any ideas are always welcome ;)
I've ordered a socket and some pins to make up a lead to wire the CPS direct to the ecu connector which will count out any broken loom wires or bad connections on the 5v where they join inside the loom.

Luckily the test route I use is made up of fantastic biking roads with little traffic on any of it lOl so going out to try it isn't really an hardship lOl
Would be nice to have it sorted to go to BDay though .....prefer to take the X1 because it is far more Buell than the CR lOl

Well I've been waiting over a week for my connectors to arrive to make up a slave CPS lead to count out a loom fault ............ I've fitted a 3 pin deutsh connector to match up with the Sensor one and spliced into the sensor 5volt and sensor ground near to the ECM (soldered splices) and removed the sensor signal wire from the ECM connector and fitted the new loom direct into it. Just need to find time to go for a 100mile test ride now :D ........... hopefully Fri so will log the trip again and see what fault the trace shows IF the problem still exists.
I have taped up the original sensor signal wire ;)

lOl yep they are ...tis only a temp job though ....if it does cure the fault I'll either strip the loom to find the fault OR look at making a permanent job of the splices ;-)

Excellent. Shows the power of the ECMSpy logging facility and a bit of trouble shooting...

I am well pleased for you...
