Noticed today that the front exhaust hanger bolt has gone awol on my 2008 xb12 xt, any one know the size of the bolt which affixes the front muffler strap to the threaded hanger.

Dont want to go to the dealers which is a fair way away just for a bolt, buy one myself but i bet it is that old fashioned imperial American size :headbang:

Also is there a torque figure for the bolt.

Cheers

If you are talking about the bolt that holds the front mount on, it is a 5/16 UNC x 2 1/4". There are two spacers you will need too, in case they have gone AWOL, PN S0136.02A8...

Of course, you could get away with an M8 bolt and nut.

Torque is 22-25ft lbs

Cheers Pash

I think i'll go dowm the metric route for now, then get them to replace under warranty when it goes in for it's service in 1800 miles time.

Spacers are kaputttttt, so i'll make up a few.
