I was looking at a Corbin seat for my S1, I went on the Corbin site and the price in the US was £327 but they dont seem to ship the UK, and diverted me to the Europe site the only problem their price is £608 I know we are used to getting ripped of in this country but that's a bit much, what methods have people used to buy these seats without getting totally ripped off is there someone in the UK that sells them at a realistic price?

Don't bother, they're as uncomfortable as a park bench. They are rock hard. I brought mine back from their shop in the USA. It wasn't worth the hassle of carrying it, frankly.

Far better than the original seat for me.

I was fortunate that I was visiting a mate in the US and I brought it back in my luggage.

I find mine very comfortable, the original gave me pain in places I didn't know I had, a pure instrument of torture.

Can`t tell , but may be a twin seat ,which needs other parts to go with it.

Had flashy wheels at one time .https://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Buell-Whi ... 7675.l2557

I think I will either have to get My sister to get it in Canada and bring me it or buy an old seat and get a custom one made.

Beef (of this Parish) has a family member who owns Hide and Seam. I've seen some of their bike seats and they are superb. I think they have a website.

I think getting a custom seat made may be a good option, I think I would need to pick up an old seat as I want to keep the one I have which is original. Has anyone had a one off seat made for an S1?

My experience for what it’s worth is trying to buy something cheap costs twice as much.
That seat is a dual seat so no good to you and look both tatty and uncomfortable.

A decent seat builder will be able to puts gell insert into your standard seat or build it to Corbin measurements for a lot less than a genuine Corbin seat. I had this built for my xb body kit. It was just a glass fibre seat pan. I chose he materials and stitching colour and pattern and a gell insert and it came in at £280 it's infinitely more comfortable than the first version made from neoprene racing seat foam.

:yt: the fact that you are only about half the weight of your average Buell rider helps :yup:
