Got the 1125cr at the moment but was wondering if the 1190sx is a lot better,

I keep looking at it on the Internet and i really like it, the more I look at it the more I think I need one.

Opinions please comparing the 1125cr to the 1190sx

Reliability etc.

There's a slightly bent one up Scotland. Still rides OK apparently :coat:

Sorry, meant to respond to this sooner but have been riding my 1125CR daily for the past fortnight so it's allowed me to put my thoughts in order a bit better.

I had a couple of demo 1125CRs at Black Bear then bought my own 2010 model when the factory shut down.

I then ran EBR for Northern Europe for nine months before the shutdown and was privileged to keep an 1190RX and 1190SX at home. These were the demonstrators tested by the UK press.

The 1190SX is a far better bike. It's like an 1125 on steroids with almost half as much power again, feels a lot lighter, handles impeccably and makes you grin until your face aches

I like my CR a lot but the agricultural feel and jerky fuelling at low revs can be really frustrating. This is far better on the SX. The SX also has the benefit of traction control. It's fairly basic and can feel intrusive a lot of the time so I rarely used it but is a real safety aid in the wet.

Shame it doesn't have a belt for the lazy among us but I'm told it just wouldn't cope with the power output which sounds sensible.

To the best of my knowledge the only bikes available at present are at Ride On in Glasgow, the Hogfather in Southport and an ex-demonstrator at Krazy Horse in Bury St Edmunds. They won't come with manufacturer's warranty but parts should be becoming available because the factory is back up and running and NCCR in Sweden have been appointed as European distributor. Don't expect to see any new bikes in Europe in a hurry but parts and technical support shouldn't be an issue.

Steve
