Less than 400 miles and only about the 4th time I've been out on it and went and dropped it at a junction.
I was pulling out into traffic and stalled it when turning right and just couldn't hold it.
It fell over on the right side so scratched the puck on the engine case and the radiator pod both the black bit and the coloured part.
It's a 2010 CR so the crash protector saved the swingarm which was lucky.
Does anyone know if you can buy the puck on the engine case on it's own or not and anyone got part No's or prices for the radiator pods?

The other thing is I was coming home after being on a run and stalled it again at a roundabout and I was giving it plenty of revs so wondering if there's a problem with the fueling or not.
Anyone else had similar problems with there 1125?

Ah man, I feel your pain! I think I've dropped every bike I've owned... apart from the three I have at the moment (touch wood)
It sounds like the stalling gets better when run-in, but I did find at least one ducati forum that blamed stalling on over-full oil? Maybe :maz: can verify. Might be worth a check, as they are a PITA to check properly.

The 2010 models are a lot easier as they have a sight glass.

Sorry to hear that

If the bike is going to be a keeper, find a mate with a lathe and get him to knock up a new puck

With pucks that expensive it's worth having the Erik Buell racing case savers fitted.

How much?
Fuck me I take it that is for the whole cover and not just the puck?
What about the black part of the rad shroud as that's worse than the white bit?
It just touched the end of the front brake lever, the crash protector on swingarm and the rear footrest but you can hardly notice that it's the engine puck that is the worst.
I remember someone used the sell the puck on it's own on e-bay however it was a non genuine part but looked identical.
I'm fucking well pissed off as I had the XB for 5 years and never dropped it although my mate did manage to knock me off once but the LSL crash bungs saved it from major damage.
I think I've pulled a muscle in my arm as well trying to keep the bike up as it's fucking sore.

If I can't get the puck on it's own cheap I think I will claim on the insurance as that's why we have insurance at the end of the day.

Sorry just re-read it and see the radiator shroud comes with the black part.
That's cheap for that part and I would def replace at that money it's just the engine case that's pissing me off as that's the worst bit.
I was actually thinking that the bike is pretty well designed but not if the engine puck costs that much.

What are the Erik Buell case savers and how much?

That is just the puck with its 'o' ring at that price........I believe somebody on here linked to aluminium pucks the other day at about £60

shit news norrie. i would claim or try it anyway if parts are expensive.

as for stalling, i've not had any problem pulling away, but it has cut out when slowing down with the throttle closed 3 times now. it may be just a new, tight motor, but it hasn't caused any hassle, just restart it while rolling. almost 1000 miles done. will see if it happens anymore. if it does there maybe a fueling problem i guess
