Bad news folks. My drivebelt broke after 39km today. Chris and Jane are happily on their way to Östersund in a good weather and I'm at Luleå waiting for a new belt. I truly hope they have it on stock here. The bike had a nice ride on a trailer for 300km today.

Now for a pint... ;)

Our intrepid twosome have now reached Sweden as of last night. They have covered over 2,280 miles so far with only a little niggle. Monday morning Chris's Uly picked up a puncture but it was easily repaired with their emergency kit, and he was able to do another 200 miles and so far it's holding well.

The weather has now decided to be kind to them and they are loving the dry roads and being able to appreciate the glorious scenery fully. Including the wildlife.......... when a moose decided to cross the road (thankfully) well in front of them.

They certainly sound like they are having the trip of a lifetime :worthy: :worthy:

The latest from our Arctic trotting twosome is that they are now in Germany near to Bremen. Friday they are heading for Rotterdam and then home in Blighty for Saturday.

We arrived back home at 10.30 this morning. Total mileage = 3,504.

Once we've got the bikes cleaned and I've serviced Jane's Guzzi (yet another :ill:, I must hide those keys :D) I will write a full report and include lots of pictures.

For now it's suffice to say that it's been our best motorcycling adventure ever :P....

If it's any consolation about the weather, the Queen Mary 2 went past this morning on the way into Stavanger and back out again this evening, someone's paying a hell of a lot of money to see Stavanger in the pouring rain lOl
