The UKBEG Belgium Weekend will take place between Friday 25th and Monday 28th June 2010, staying 3 nights (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) at the Confluences B&B in Walcourt, which is located in the picturesque Ardennes.

The weekend will include tours of the region and a visit to Bastogne.

B&B location details: Confluences

Annick & Ferdi Dermience Trevis
42, Grand Place
B-565O Walcourt
Belgium
Tel: +32(0) 71 614 305
Fax: +32(0) 71 612 205
email: info@confluences.be

Accommodation costs 38 Euro for a single room and 48 Euro for double/twin room, per night, with breakfast included. Confluences can accommodate up to 22 people within their B&B and guest house.

If you would like to attend please book direct with Annick and Ferdi, the owners.

Note:
They require a 50 Euro deposit to book a room. Unfortunately they don't accept debit or credit cards so to avoid paying UK bank charges for transfers to IBAN account numbers we sent a 50 Euro note using secure post - cost £4.26.

Walcourt is approximately 160 miles from Calais.

FYI - Jane and I have booked these Eurotunnel crossings:

Friday 25th June - Folkestone to Calais - 11.50 hrs
Monday 28th June - Calais to Folkestone - 12.20 hrs

Cost is £44 return for rider and motorcycle.

Thanks to Dörske :worthy: this topic is now linked to the Dutch Buell forum: http://www.buellforum.nl/topic.php?id=7558

We can't make the Buell Day in Belgium on the 5th June because we'll be at the Silverstone Moto GP with the UKBEG 'Club' stand. It would be great to meet up with a few friends from both Belgium and Holland in the Ardennes next June.

Wish I could come, the Ardennes are what Buells are made for (apart from fighting off Land Cruisers) :P

CJ, is this a touring holiday, or a chance to get out and ride those fabulous roads with "enthusiasm"?!!
Not sure if I want to spend 3 days sightseeing, but wouldn't mind mixing it with some blatting :D

Hi Garry

The main theme of this 'informal' Belgium weekend is enjoyment of the local roads, food and scenery - in that order :D...

The only 'sightseeing' trip I've planned is a trip to Bastogne, but this is entirely optional. I've visited most of the main WW2 battlefields in Europe but I've never been to the Ardennes, which witnessed the 'Battle of the Bulge' in 1944. Bastogne has a few places of interest that I've always wanted to visit.

Just the sort of event that makes me frustrated to be this side of the pond with my bike. :sad1:
Sounds like a great outing.

Garry - :yup: good luck with the request for a long weekend pass :D...

Chris - start planning now and you should be able to make it. I'm sure we could fix you up with a bike.

We can't wait for all of these 2010 events to come around. Last year was the best in UKBEG's history and this year should be even better :P....
