Short notice but we are visiting Black Bear this coming Saturday owing to a 'nail and rear tyre interface scenario', and while we're there Jon will be doing one or two other little jobs for us.

If anyone fancies calling in for a natter and a free sticky bun we'll be there from 10.00 am until mid afternoon.

Correcto mondo.....

We were going to have a new rear tyre fitted after the Ireland trip but because of the puncture I thought it best to have the tyre replaced now.

The belt is the original unit and has covered 25,500 miles. Its not damaged, it just looks 'tired' - Jon advised that we change it before 30,000 miles for peace of mind.

We'd like to thank Steve and Jon for fitting us in at such short notice ...

We hadn't planned to visit Black Bear twice within two weeks but the premature replacement of the rear tyre meant that a few other jobs could be done at the same time while various parts were removed.

In addition to the new rear tyre and belt, Jon fitted a Remus stainless muffler which we bought from Adrenalin-Moto and the front pulley needle bearing grease nipple modification which Maz supplied. We also had a new headlight unit fitted because the original had lost most of its reflective plating. This was supplied as a goodwill gesture because the warranty had run out.

While Jon was working on our Ulysses we met up with Richie, '88B' and Jamie, a US serviceman from Mildenhall on his 1125R. Chilling out with free coffee, sticky buns and glorious sunshine - what could be better?

A suitably refreshed Ulysses ......
