Short notice but we are visiting Black Bear this coming Saturday owing to a 'nail and rear tyre interface scenario', and while we're there Jon will be doing one or two other little jobs for us.

If anyone fancies calling in for a natter and a free sticky bun we'll be there from 10.00 am until mid afternoon.

Correcto mondo.....

We were going to have a new rear tyre fitted after the Ireland trip but because of the puncture I thought it best to have the tyre replaced now.

The belt is the original unit and has covered 25,500 miles. Its not damaged, it just looks 'tired' - Jon advised that we change it before 30,000 miles for peace of mind.

Cheers CJ, this is one commitment I won't be wanting to get out of - a mate of mine is taking me for a surprise day out. Don't know where we're going but it's without husbands so I'm looking forward to some girl time :D .

Have a bun for me ;)

xx

We'd like to thank Steve and Jon for fitting us in at such short notice :worthy:...

We hadn't planned to visit Black Bear twice within two weeks but the premature replacement of the rear tyre meant that a few other jobs could be done at the same time while various parts were removed.

In addition to the new rear tyre and belt, Jon fitted a Remus stainless muffler which we bought from Adrenalin-Moto and the front pulley needle bearing grease nipple modification which Maz supplied. We also had a new headlight unit fitted because the original had lost most of its reflective plating. This was supplied as a goodwill gesture because the warranty had run out.

While Jon was working on our Ulysses we met up with Richie, '88B' and Jamie, a US serviceman from Mildenhall on his 1125R. Chilling out with free coffee, sticky buns and glorious sunshine :sun: - what could be better?

A suitably refreshed Ulysses :P......

Sorry I didn't get to wave you off, CJ and I had no idea that Richie was even there. The pressures of running a Harley-Davidson dealership :ill: Sold that lovely used XB12S today though 8-) Jane, your sticky buns were lovely

Steve

Chris and Jane, it was good to see you both and the Uly now looking very resplendent with it's new Remus :yup:
Once again, thanks for the biscuits and sticky buns! ;)
Was also good to see Richie and 88B again, hope the clocks working now and telling the right time 88B?!
The end of a busy day was capped off nicely by a extra long ride home on the CR in the glorious sunshine we had today
