Taken from the Ducati Monster forum, which nicely sums up what Em's Day is all about :D...

I won't be able to make it this year but if you can, then you should. It is a truly wonderful day out, even if you have to ditch the bike and take the family in the car!

The ambience is brilliant, the whole thing is fantastic, it's quite an emotional experience to hear the Lancaster start up and you will be raising money for a very worthy cause and having a great time with your mates!

Ash, it's 105 miles from Rownhams. We are usually sitting down for Brekky at Jacks by about 7.45am, after filling the bikes at Towcester. ;)
On an STT, maybe it feels like 4 hours. lOl

And Don, you forget the red carnation and quivering looking bloke on an STT (who has been trying to keep up with Mick!)

Ash kept up pretty good one year, considering we were going through fog banks at 95mph. lOl lOl
We may be 5 minutes later at Jack's this year, if we have to pick up the Hun and Anne Frank en route at Tot Hill. ;)

That was the year we rode through floods with Yoffi, that was a lot of fun!

Looks like I'm a faller before I even get to the first fence

Mrs Crabbit was diagnosed with MS just after the Emerald Isle jaunt, the neurologist reckoned she had had it for some time but was fairly mild. He put her on a high dose of steroids for 5 days but they seemed to knock the stuffing out of her. Since then she seems to be getting worse and has been of work for 3 weeks now and hasnt the energy to fight her way out of a wet paperbag. I'm now chief cook and bottle washer.

I've been hanging off cancelling my booking at the Bull hotel in Horncastle but it now looks like I'll have to, so if anyone's looking for a single room give us a shout.

Hopefully things will improve enough to let me attend D3

Sorry to hear that Frankie. #1 daughter has to see a neurologist in July after odd symptoms post Glandular fever. We're keeping our fingers and everything else crossed
