Decisions, decisions.....shall we use a bike :P or the car :( on Sunday?

Kev - what's the road conditions like in your area? We don't fancy doing a 220 mile round trip on two wheels if it's looking dodgy.

There was a light covering of snow outside my house this morning .........yesterday there was a few accidents on the outskirts of Louth which were blamed on Black ice patches.
Main roads generally have been fairly good but if freezing again tonight suggest there may be more dodgy patches again tomorow.
I think you and Jane have earned a car ride ;)

Hi Kev and Richie - thanks for that info, I think the car would be best :yup:.

At least we'll be able to eat sweets and listen to groovy music :D...

Our mobile number is 0792 626 5582 - see you at Ulceby Cross between 10.30 and 11.00 am?

Actually thinking about it Chris ulceby cross means you have overshot a little bit ;) I'll be going directly from Louth to Mablethorpe so will see you there..........depends which way you are coming but i'd guess maybe coming nearer Louth would be closer for you as well :D

CJ If you come down the A1 your best route would be across towards Gainsborough ...market rasen........Louth .....Mablethorpe

Or the route planner suggests across m62 ...m18....m180..a18 ...a16 louth .....mablethorpe ;)
Whichever you choose have a safe journey .

Mines 07805315793 ;) .............is that the small carpark you mean Ritchie or the main pullover at the end of the high street?

The last few times they have raced to the left of the pits when you are looking out to sea rather than the prefered track in front of the main prom......not sure which they'll be using tomorrow and for some reason the small chippy near the pits was closed last time ( I was gutted lOl )

We set off but have turned back :dummy:...

Although our local roads appear to have been gritted we encountered black ice resulting in a few hairy moments. Thankfully no damage done. Road conditions should improve later on but by then it will be too late to set off for the East Coast.

There's further sand races on the 17th January, 31st January, 14th February, and 28th February. We'll try to make one of those dates and will post details accordingly.

Brrrrr, it was still -4 deg C at 10.00 am.

We had snow last night - the frozen Calder canal just a two minute walk from where we live:

No hot bike action today I'm afraid, just hot wildlife action as Jane creates a duck feeding frenzy...

We'll aim for the 17th January event - it might even be bike friendly weather by then ....
