NO, IT'S SHIT..... when we were doing the Marlboro series in the early '80's I despised it then, I hate it even more now....

Give me Cadwell Park and Anglesey any day.......

At least we had some fun when we did the pre-Manx testing on the Excalibur Special round there - the aircraft were still landing & taking off as we were lapping...... that old Sopwith had great fun trying to stop after I'd just gone through Woodcote with the total-loss oiling system in full flow .... 8-)

This is the latest news regarding UKBEG's invite to the Silverstone Moto GP.

They are still working on Club Packages, but not at a discounted rate. The promoter, Dorna, has placed severe restrictions on the circuit management which means we will have to pay full price.

Still to be confirmed, I think an advance weekend ticket will cost £60 minimum, with camping an additional £25 per person.

This is what I've been told regarding the Club Package:

"What we've been working on is some kind of club deal for Moto GP 2010 where we can allocate a club display space, most likely on the old GP track between Bridge and the Complex, a club camping area, and finally some kind of 'money can't buy' clubs exclusive, we're thinking about some track time".

Unfortunately I still don't have a date for when this Club Package will be announced. We are prepared to wait to see what is offered and how much it costs before making a final decision about a UKBEG club area at the Moto GP.

If you are not prepared to wait any longer then I suggest you book 'normal' tickets direct through the Silverstone web site @ http://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/motogp1

Finally, this is what I've been told regarding WSB and BSB at Silverstone:

"The WSB and BSB club packages will be in line with what we did at BSB 2009, i.e. discounted tickets and allocated clubs area".

Thanks for that Chris. I think we may just get a race day ticket, as the weekend clashes with an event we need to attend on the Saturday which is very near Silverstone. We will definitely do the BSB and WSB though for the weekend, and I will be able to ride my bike then.... :yup:

If your going to do it at least do it on your British bike. England expects and all that. :)

I was thinking Rossi on my X1 and me on his M1, that makes his advantage smaller :D

Riding the CR tweaks my nether regions. Riding the M1 would leave patterns on the seat similar to parasexas' brown harley thingy.
