I'm planning to get to Wickham Square about 0800. The hill is Portsdown Hill burger bar 1/2 mile east of.....

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl= ... 9189913459

which is about 6.5miles east of Wickham. Not sure what time folks meet at the hill if they are going to.

I'll spend a couple of hours at Wickham then head to the Romsey meet.

Just been out to garage to check bike and is currently icy again with a clear sky so might be car in morning if doesn't thaw. Will post temp in morn, Forecast shows above freezing but isn't here at mo.

Cheers Tony, I've only got a few miles on new waxy tyres, so I may leave after sun up and head straight there.

Cheers Ray, if I'm not at the hill by 08.30 don't wait for me. I'll check for ice first thing. Raining here so should be ok.

Something we look forward towards at Christmas, used to be the Christmas day film or watching Morecombe and Wise, now its attending this amazing meet of anything with wheels really.

Been going here for past 6 years now, one of the local areas best kept secrets, up till then I had never heard of it and I was always into bikes and stuff then to.

As you can see from the pics we were there a the crack of dawn (not dawns crack as probably read by some of you, who's Dawn  ) 7.30am and the Sq was already filling up with the early birds, a little early rain was not putting anyone off, this soon cleared through and though a little slower than usual at the start it filled up with a couple of hundred cars, bikes, tractors, customs, vintage, classic and just plain strange stuff!!! Its free its unorganised to the fact that you just turn up and park wherever you can, as something leaves something else just drops in :D
An early arrival Image
Scooby in the rain Image
A good gathering of Buellers were in attendance and I managed to bump into most, some of the earlyish ones are here in a few of the shots.Image Image Image Image

Hiya all, I rode my bike to Wickham Square today, but didn't get there until 11.30. I only saw two Buells, one which was red with purple/blue wheels, parked up near the jacked-up car, the other one, parked near the pub in the centre, had a charcoal carbon fibre paintwork, with a purple frame (I think!) Unfortunately I didn't recognise anyone. Quite a few people had left as it was raining and the time was getting on. Sorry I missed you all.

Great photos Steve. 8-)
Had a soggy ride up but it cleared up OK. Tony (Deepsix) led us on a great set of backroads over to Romsey afterwards, which would be superb in the dry.
Hopefully signed up an M1 owner (Andy) who was at Romsey.
Good ride, good company and plenty to see. 8-)

Mines the X1 with the carbon fibre parked up near the pub at Wickham,no significance in that, honest!
Great at Wickham as usual and first time there on the Lightning. I enjoyed the ride even if the weather tried it's hardest. Will try to catch up with a few more Buellers in the coming months.
Neil.
