Hey guys ad girls,

Just wondering, what do you what to see during the trip, starting from Walcourt
On the forumstarter I see a pic of the "tombeau du geant"
That is near Bouillon .... not Bastogne

Anything is possible .....but we will need a roadbook ....
want me to set out a roadbook for you ??

In case, I would like to know howmany we are
As some twisty roads with many bikes could be dangerous, and we don't want that

would be happy to organise it, just talk to me

Patrick - thanks for your kind offer of help with routes etc. Using your local knowledge please plan a couple of routes taking in all the best roads. We could discuss the finer details like destinations etc. on Friday night when we meet up.

I'm not exactly sure how many are going. We have had a few drop out but I would expect 10 to 15 bikes maximum.

well friends, first of all ..... we are heading towards very nice weather for the weekend
that is very good

@ CJ

I can lay out a twisty, narrow and beautifull track .... but with 15 bikes ... no, not a good idea

What I can do, is propose 2 tracks

One for the "routiers" :sad1: :sad1:
, and one for the "braves" :yup: :yup:
and so maybe go into 2 groups, and regroup in Bastogne later on the day
Town center ..... where the Sherman tank is ....

Is that an idea?

I can have a million ideas ..... but one or two has to suit all of you :worthy: :worthy:

OK .... working on the maps now

I propose 1 little track with all of us .... that means "barrage de l'eau d'heure" and so till Couvin

there, we split in 2 groups

for the routiers, follow the N5 till Philippeville, then head towards Beauraing (N40)
nice straight road ....no problems
After Beauraing take the N40 towards Wellin, and then pick up the motorwayE411 which will lead you to Bastogne

for the braves ..... hang on to your hats, I will set out a "beau parcours"

really looking forward to this :yup: :yup:

Does somebody know if it's a problem getting fuel on sundays in Belgium and/or France? I had several people tell me that the card readers at the pumps do not accept foreign maestro/bank cards and cash points aren't frequently available then.

Yes Gunter, I had same problems in the Ardennes with my maestro card being refused, and not only at thje fuel stations

Still, there are cash points .... and they suprisely accept the card ....

But bring cash also ...... enough fuelstations open saturday and sunday, don't worry
