Remembrance Day – Sunday 8th November. Duxford Imperial War Museum, free admission (normally £16). Service of remembrance starts at 12:30hrs all bikers welcome.

Details at:

http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/server/show/conEvent.1283

Not trying to tread on any toes here as I know the Cumbria ride is the same day.

Just thought some might like to know.

This isn't the time or place for pedantry, Norm  I think what Smarty means is Remembrance Sunday while you're obviously thinking of Armistice Day ;)

I'm up for it, be a great venue and an opportunity to show some respect as well. Maybe we could get a shot of our Buells beside the Flying Fortress. :?:

I'm sure we could fit Newmarket, bargains and doughnuts into the equation as well

Steve

We would love to attend this Duxford event :P....

If the weather's bad in Cumbria and that UKBEG event is cancelled we may come down to Newmarket/Duxford.

I've been in touch with Smarty and the 1030 at Duxford timing isn't obligatory. So, to make life easier for those travelling from further afield or with heavy Saturday night commitments how about this :?:

1000 am Meet at Black Bear, Newmarket. Showroom open for free hot drinks and
doughnuts. Browsing through bargains optional ;)
1100 am Leave for Duxford, maximum 20 minutes ride
1230 pm Remembrance Service

I think this should be a great event and got all excited about it when I first heard about it but then realised that it clashes with family commitments so I won't be there myself

Your hosts for the day will be Jon (who should have his new 1125CR by then 8-) ) and Nobby on his trusty 40,000 mile Ulysses

Got a few definites but not the response I had expected. Maybe Buell ownership is as intertwined with H-D ownership as the folks in Milwaukee think ;) Perhaps loads of bikes are tucked away for the winter already.

Strange that when the Hoggies organised "Run to the Wall" just a few weeks ago to show respect to our military personnel who had died since the end of WW2 6000 of them turned out

Duxford really is a great venue and it's not often that you guys in the East have a good excuse to gather. Not just the East, come to think of it, Duxford is only half an hour North of the M25
