Today was the first time in over 10 years of owning an X1 that I wish I'd had a decent pillion perch.

It's all relative Norm. X1's have brilliant pillion perchs, it just depends on how much of the rider perch is being taken up :D

It's all subject to opinion as the best bike doesn't always win. It's a good job the judge was your mum.

Other than the small matter of pillion pegs.

Have you seen Buell's advert for the 'New Blast'?? It is a cubed Blast ready for the scrap yard!!! Really sick!! Very sad day for all Blast owners.....

The Blast is still being made - but no longer as a Buell. It is used by Harley dealerships for the "Rider's Edge" motorcycle safety course offered in the States. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation reg's require a bike under 500 cc for all MSF-approved courses. No one seems sure about future availability to consumers, availability of parts, etc. here in the States.

A few folk on the Ducati forum suggest this treatment should not be restricted just to the blast. I've had to put one or two right about this ;)

All you need is the right rider on a Blast, set up the right way, and there are a lot of Ducati riders out there that would be eating Blast dust, in the curves 8-)

Not sayin' I'm one of those right riders, mind you................. :D
