To be held at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby, near Spilsby, Saturday 31st October.

Location/event details: here

This will be UKBEG's 9th visit to the fireworks spectacular at East Kirkby and previous events have proved very popular with UKBEG members.

Seeing (and hearing) four Merlin engines running at night with their exhausts spitting flames is something else and well worth the trip. The fireworks aren't bad either :P....

5.00 Hog Roast begins
5.15 Searchlight Demonstration
7.00 Lancaster taxi run
8.00 Fireworks!!

Admission prices:
Adults & Seniors- £10.00 (Hog roast £4.00 extra)
Child aged 10-15- £4.00 Under 10's free
Gold and Silver members FREE

FYI We're staying at the Red Lion, Revesby on Saturday night.

It's looking like a two-wheel friendly forecast for the weekend  ....

We'll be at the Aviation Centre on Saturday afternoon before going to check into the Red Lion and then returning around 6.00pm for the evening festivities. It promises to be their biggest and best fireworks display to date.

If you're attending the event and can't readily find us amongst the crowd our contact number will be 0792 626 5582.

No matter how many times we ride the 110 mile scenic route from West Yorkshire to the LAHC we never get bored with it; and we must have ridden it quite a few times since becoming members almost 20 years ago.

We've had a brilliant day riding on almost deserted country roads and then calling into the Aviation Centre for a few hours. A few pictures from today's daylight festivities.......

Another fantastic fireworks display :P, helped in no small part by the perfect weather. The place was absolutely packed, the LAHC must have been very pleased with the attendance and the money it raised towards getting Just Jane airworthy again.

We shared the evening with Miles, GB, Mo and Debs from UKBEG. Hope they had a safe 85 mile ride back home in the dark.

Unbelievable temperatures yesterday for the 1st November :sun:, we made the most of the good weather and spent a good few hours exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds before returning home.

If you're ever in that area and need accommodation we can heartily recommend the Red Lion in Revesby, http://www.redlion-revesby.co.uk

A few pictures from yesterday morning....

We've stayed at the Red Lion many times over the years and we can't fault their food. I would have taken a picture of my full English breakfast :eat: but I didn't have a wide angle lens with me :D.....

Chris & Jane, it was good to see you both. This was the second year at the fireworks display for the Norfolk crew, and, as last year, what a brilliant show! We rode home through (often dense) fog, made more interesting by the fact that GB's brake light was permanently on  , so I couldn't tell when he was braking. :o
