Fingers crossed, we should have a period of settled, fine weather for the weekend....

Looking good - dry weather all weekend and into next week ....

We have all next week off so we're planning to ride up to Sutherland on Monday and then tour round the far norf and Skye before heading back home on Wednesday or Thursday.

Hi Rawni - it's a mystery tour :4roz:....

I'll PM you tonight when I have access to my crumpled and torn map :D....

Edit: I've chosen a route that uses roads with proper tarmac and stuff. There's no 'challenging' tracks :oooops: on this mystery tour...

Just arrived at braemar. Took a long route down from ullapool today. Warm here with no wind but that means plenty of midges

See you all saturday or sunday

Had a really good run today and it was nice to meet some familiar faces and a new one.
Okay we managed to find the only cold and wet weather in the country but it wasn't to bad and as always a big thank you to Chris and Jane for organising it all.
I actually felt a bit embarrased to be given a tour of my own country by an Englishman. :o
I also felt a bit embarrased about a poor turnout from Scotland yet again.
Mitch can come all the way from Plymouth but some people can't manage 100 or so miles. Come on people we must try harder.
I know there are a lot of members in or around Edinburgh now so why weren't you there?

Hello all that were there, nice to meet up again. I had a good blast down the road mucho fun and not a cop or van in sight :D. Caught up with the IAM croud just before Aberfeldy; one in their midst had a bit of a mishap but looked ok, his Pan Euro was getting loaded onto a recovery truck, .
Nice to meet you too Mitch and Ed thats one sweet Blade. Hats off to Chris and Jane, hope you enjoy the rest of tour trip and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Better late than never......

Many thanks to Rawni, Norrie, Mitch and Chris (Skip) for attending the meet-n-ride last Sunday (13th). We had an excellent weekend in the Braemar area - made complete by meeting up with fellow UKBEG members.

Our ride up to Scotland on the Saturday was just perfect - warm and sunny with mostly clear roads. Sunday morning was cool and cloudy and the first part of the ride was affected by low cloud and a touch of mizzle but the rest was completed in bright sunshine.

Saturday in the Cairngorms - one of those impossibly beautiful days to ride a motorcycle...

The Glenshee Ski Centre Cafe...

Back in Braemar - sunshine and ice cream, a perfect way to end the ride...

The route I planned for the ride was stunning - Scotland at its best. If you're ever in the area you must try it....

Glenshee Ski Centre - A93 to Braemar/Crathie.

Crathie B976/A939 to Tomintoul

Tomintoul B9008/B9009 to Dufftown.

Dufftown A941 to Rhynie.

Rhynie A97 Lumsden/Kildrummy/Towie/Logie Coldstone/Dinnet.

Dinnet A93 to Ballater/Crathie/Braemar.

A total of approximately 115 miles.
