If it is the distance, why not put something in the diary closer to you?

No it's the dates. Distance has never bothered me. The week Em's do is on I'm sunday to Wednesday night shift so would need to take s whole week off to go and it's Anna's Dad's 70th Birthday the weekend of Deliverence.

Will need to check some of the other meets out.

Requesting (pretty please) a XB12X event (or sub-event) to coincide with the 10th Birthday of the Ulysses. I got mine on 1st Nov 2005. Sure there's a couple of older ones out there that Maz didn't throw in the river.

As you'll be just up the road for D7, I hope you get time to show your face :yup:

(1/2 hour is long enough ;) :rotfl: )

Krazy Horse are more than happy to host the Birthday BBQ and Easter Saturday 4th April would suit best.

We can explore the hotels and watering holes of Bury St Edmunds in the evening if any of you are game for it. Of course we could always ride back to Newmarket if SillyB wants to stir up the Class A sniffers again lOl

Steve

Bury St Edmunds would be a different watering hole to experience. I am sure you will be able to recommend some great hotels and pubs etc. :yup: :4roz:

It was interesting to hear Ian (skri) as a relative newbie mention both Hendon and Miller's as possible future venues, incidentally having met-up the previous weekend at... Brooklands!
I'd certainly like to re-visit these places (and also Haynes) as it's been a while... IMHO some places don't actually hold enough attraction to be worth visiting every year anyway, but then again we don't actually go INTO these museums when we meet there!... :D
So, a flag-up to see if it's of interest to others... then Ian can go ahead and organise it!

Hi Rik,

I'm now back at work in Africa and have access to the web right now. I'd be happy to arrange something, but at the moment very unsure as to when I will be in the country next year as it looks as though my contract will be subject to change.

As a very new newbie to UKBEG I'm very appreciative of the welcome shown to me by the Southern Softies who have had meets that have coincided with my time in the UK. I fear that ultimately that these meets are going to prove expensive - you guys have already almost convinced me to add a tuber to the stable!

I actually live on the Beds, Bucks, Herts borders and not the Saarf coast, so look forward to meeting others too next year.

I arranged a Haynes Museum meet up a few years ago. It's a good place to meet, with an amazing museum, fabulous cafe and often additional added extras such as stunt display teams of bikes or cars on certain weekends.

Have also met up at the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton...another great place for a bike meet. :yup:
