Probably best to actually ride in together as a group then... assemble in the McD car park for 08:00 move off?

Just registered rather late in the day - let's see if I'm lucky too - I got following response

"Thanks very much for pre-registering your vehicle.
We have been inundated by requests to take part in this event and now have our work cut out fitting everyone in. Please bear with us while we allocate passes, which will be done in accord with the event theme. We might not be able to please everyone but that is always our aim! "

I will let you know if I get accepted

cheers, Ian

It's on the A27 at the Westhampnett roundabout, the exit for Goodwood, the postcode is PO19 4WT.

Would aiming for a 7:30 departure be better?

By 8:00 the circut is likely to be mobbed?

Dave

I may be wrong on this Dave, but it's not 'SuperCar Sunday' and it's not blazing June...
I was on 'The Grid' for the October GBC ('Hot Hatch Sunday'), got there about 08:15 and still managed to be alongside the pit wall... I'm not expecting this one to be any busier than that... and as we're all only 'Circuit Access', which has masses of parking areas, I don't think it's an issue.
Second thoughts, you get in there nice and early and save enough spaces around you for us... ;) lOl

I've got my site access too :yup:

Had a bit of a shock when I put the McDonalds in Google maps and it gave a journey time of 3 hours :o but I see that 3 hours is taking account of current traffic conditions (Friday eve peak rush), so I anticipate less than 2 hrs on the day and maybe 2 hrs back. (got to be back for a family afternoon lunch so won't stay too long)

Weather looking so, so .......................................

Well there were 5 of us who braved the wet and windy weather today to meet up at Goodwood, but I think Steve and Ian deserve the medals for travelling down from Milton Keynes area, leaving home while it was still dark.

A dark :o and a wet (understatement) start .

Closure of the A3 Hindhead? tunnel meant I missed the McD meet up, but arrived at the circuit at about 08:15 . Thanks to the others saving spaces for myself and Steve we were able to line up all the Buells together :yup:

Lots of exotica with respect to cars and the Buells were flew flag for the bikes.

Apart from the wet crotch - enjoyed the ride out, weather much better on way home. Back for 13:30 incl two fuel stops (topped up with V Power ready for next event :D ) also in time for family lunch outing - can't be bad for a wet and windy Sunday morning.

Top respect to Steve and Ian for travelling dahn sarf for the second Sunday running... but this time leaving their Northern hovels in the wee small dark wet hours when an extra hour in a warm dry bed must've seemed rather more attractive (but then again, I've not met their wives....)
Great turnout, especially considering the Scottish weather, including some very rare Vs from the 60s (Iso Rivolta, Gordon Keeble), 70s (de Tomaso Pantera) and 80s (Lagonda 'Wedge') and newer stuff that i know nothing about. Not sure what the Veyron owner was thinking unless a W16 is considered the same as two V8s... (or perhaps just a typical German car owner thinking that he can park wherever the hell he wants..?)
But the stars of the show (apart from the stunning Buell display of course) had to be the brace of Merlin V12 powered Spits... undoubtedly a V engine to which we all owe a debt of gratitude... what a privilege to be allowed up close and personal with them... at zero cost... which is what I love about the whole Goodwood Breakfast thing, it's so egalitarian.
God bless you Lord March, more of the same next year please.
