First 1K Club event in the Netherlands

The 1K Club is expanding its horizons! On 27th September (coming Saturday) the first event of 1K Club Nederland is to be held in Amstelveen, close to Amsterdam.

If you know anyone in The Netherlands who you think may be interested please feel free to forward this invitation to them. Even non 1K Club members are welcome to attend as the guest of Nick Cohn, 1K Club member and Volunteer Bloodhound Ambassador who is organising this event with much help from the other Dutch Bloodhound ambassadors.

All presentations will be given in Dutch.

At 1:00 PM there will be an optional overview presentation. This is great for people who are new to the project as it talks briefly about the project, the history of the Land Speed Record, where it is going to happen, and of course, the car itself.

At 2:15 PM begins the real 1K Club event with:

Project update - the same as given by Richard Noble in Bristol
A deep dive into one area of the project or the car.
An engineering update, as given by Chief Engineer Mark Chapman in Bristol
The event will finish at 5:00 PM.

The cost (€25, or €10 for children up to 17 years) includes entry to the event, tea, coffee, soft drink, and snacks.

See http://www.1kclub.nl/ for more information and to order tickets. Any non 1K Club member should enter "Nick Cohn" in the field "Naam van 1K Club lid" when requesting tickets.

Please help us make this expansion of the 1K Club a great success!

The BLOODHOUND team.

Is the club for peeps who've driven cars at over 1000 mph ? If so then I'm in, at least when I was on magic mushrooms

If you get the chance to go to one of their presentations TAKE IT! They have a simulator and you get two runs and then they give you your speed over the mile! It a great simulator with a surprise and bloody hell Andy Green is some driver as its much harder than it looks.
Andy Green had SSC on full opposite lock at close to Mach 1!!!!
