Apart from the period of bad weather around midday yesterday which meant the parade laps were cancelled, we've had a great long weekend at Silverstone. We certainly made the most of the otherwise excellent weather on Friday and today, covering a total of 418 miles avoiding the M1.

Barney, Jane's Guzzi, is fast approaching 99,000 miles. He might reach 100,000 before he comes off the road for winter.

We didn't get to chat to all the UKBEG members who attended BSB but I think I've got pictures of all the Buells that were there......

I couldn't agree more. I really enjoyed Copdock when we attended. Great bike show.

BSB was very exciting today. Such close racing...great to watch....even if it was rather cold. X

well it was eventful to say the least
after not having my driving licence for the parade laps on saturday and then rushing home to get it in the rain, almost losing my bike pass sticker on the way back, due to it coming off in the rain, i rode with it in my hand the last couple of miles, then only to be told it was one lap, then it was cancelled :(
so we went to place in the sun show on saturday afternoon, one of the other guys also lost his sticker on the way home too, we managed to blag it past the security on sunday.
at least sunday was good, the pit walk is excellent so long as you don't try to get near shakey or josh brookes, we got pics with tommy bridewell, hopper, seeley ,jessop and even jack valentine to name a few, and we also we privvy to a secret spot on the inside of brooklands where there are no marshalls so you can get in a few sneaky photos, didn't get to see chris or jane though :(
but thank you as always for sorthing these things for us, and we had new friends that had never been before :)

Alan - I'm glad you at least had a good day on Sunday. The period of heavy rain around midday on Saturday certainly put the mockers on things.

Looking at the forecast on Friday night in our hotel we decided to get to the circuit early on Saturday and we were tucked up nice and dry in the Luffield grandstand before the worst of the rain arrived. They not only lost the parade lap and other lunch break events but some of the free practice/qualifying sessions.

We were also in the Luffield grandstand on Sunday morning for the start of the racing and Jane spotted you arriving through her binoculars, sorry we didn't get to meet up.
