Sadly that Lancaster isn`t deemed air worthy as it has a tank engine that replaced one that went to lunch, shame  .I think there`s one a few miles away at Conningsby and i think that`s one of only 2 left flying, could be and i probably am wrong on this, someone out there will correct me.

And I think quite a few people are missing the point this year .................It's also about meeting up with old friends and possibly making new ones as well ;)

So help Em's charity .....meet up for a laugh and joke with friends ..... listen to the sound of some of the best engine sounds ever when the Lanc strikes up........have a look around the museum .....................................and if you want to park with the Buells ........simple ........................arrive on one ;) lOl lOl

Hmmm Mr Meanwell I think you stole my facebook post there ;). I totally agree that its about catching up with friends we dont see enough of and making new ones. My point about riding alone is that I have guests who are not on bikes and I feel an obligation to them

Never feel obliged to anyone, especially guests.....They can be a right pain in the arse and if they don`t look after themselves....What was the point in them growing up :yup: lOl

Frankie - thanks for making the effort and coming over from Northern Ireland :worthy:....see you at the Red Lion tomorrow.

Saturday's forecast is pants but we'll be there flying the Buell flag - it may be a soggy flag, but it'll still be flying :D....

We wont be there as we are off on holiday tomorrow. One of these days, hopefully next year, I will make sure I am there to be counted!!

Have a great meet up, remember friends both old and new, make new friends and have a lovely time. My thoughts are with you. x

I asked one of the maintenance fellas about that last year because I understood one of the engines was out of tank as well. Apparently, all 4 motors are of the aero variety but some are 'out of time' and produce a large range of different power that would be difficult to trim out in flight. The plane doesn't require a COA, but a Permit to Fly (usually given to kit or home built contraptions) was refused because of this.
However, there are stories in the area about locals seeing the plane doing a crafty circuit of the airfield now and then lOl 8-)
How true any of this is, I don't know :?

We're all packed and ready to roll.

If you're planning to attend tomorrow, especially on two wheels :worthy:, we'd like to thank you in advance for making the effort and we hope you don't get too wet.

Speaking to our contact at the VOC last night, despite the forecast some of the Vincent owners are still coming to Em's Day.
