Hi all,

I am currently the proud owner of a 1995 CBR600F clocking 31000 miles, and craving for modern geometry at the moment. I also would like to come back to a good old V twin grunt rather than a screamer.

I pretty much fell in love with the firebolt when I first saw it and the engine personality does it for me. After budgeting properly I am now on the hunt...
The 984 version would be the most sensible option at this point.

I have had a look around the forum for tips and defects and I will keep an eye out for belt, tensioner, bearings etc.

If anyone has got other buyer tips it would be greatly appreciated, or if you know a nice bike for sale ni South East England I am ready to rumble!

I am also looking forward to rideouts and chats with enthusiasts around here!
Cheers
G

Oh yeah!
Riding he beast and tinkering in the garage are just two sides of the coin.
I also am a big fan of gurgling V8s so this is as close as it gets on two wheels.

I can't wait to smoke my Dad and his sportster ans tell him it is the same engine  ( well not quite but it is just for the effect)

I'm glad that you quoted that, I read it twice as "tits and defects" and thought that summed us up quite nicely.

I took my time to look for the right bike / budget, and finally got a buell in my garage!

2005 XB12R, red with black frame and orange wheels, absolutely mint. It has just over 6000miles on it and does everything I expected!

First ride yesterday to bring it back, and I can't get enough of it.

It has a Drummer exhaust with machined baffle (and k&n filter and race ECM). Sounds great like that but shakes the ground without the baffle!

I need to find a good service shop closest to Gatwick area just in case. Nothing needed for 3000 miles but you never know.

Any recommendations?
Thanks
G

Hi nounours

I love bolts - great fun bike.

Don't know your kneck of he woods, but if fancy a ride it is worth getting to know Moore speed racing - they do loads of good stuff. Tubbs is the Buell man there.

Try posting in another section and the New members area can be a bit quiet.
