Hi Lads and Lasses,

Code:
 :old:   :old:
I am a new member, have not got the hang of the equipment yet.

I have just inherited for a bad debt a 2000 Buell X1 Lightning. It has not run for about eight years, but more later in forum. I have not had a bike for some fifty years, but am still an enthusiast. (Have fast cars now.)

In the good old days of British bikes, we used to run BSA Gold Star single lungs, Triumph 100s and 110s. I did build a caferacer with a Norton frame and a Triumph engine. I also had a G45 Matchless that came from the Isle of Man. The last bike was a Vincent Black Shadow. When I saw the Buell it reminded me of the Shadow, with the V-twin engine and the similiar suspension but alas with no kickstarter or valve lifter.

Best of luck with the Club it looks good. Many thanks to the organisers.

I've just been looking for a picture of my old NorVin for ya but I can't find it at the mo. The G45 was a pretty rare bike, I'll bet you wish you'd kept that one 8-) :D

Hi Medusa, its only got 4300 on the clock, but a non-runner. Will be asking how to mend on forum.

Hi Adam, I also had a 7R AJS one of the first six with a McCandless swinging arm. Those were the days as you say, wish I'd kept them, but no room or money. Same with cars.
