Thought it was time i registered and say hi to all of you. Bought my 1st buell, an orange XB12X back in january this year. Absulutly loving it after spending last 6 years on a Bandit1200. My Ully's given me a new lease of life, didnt realise how bored & lazy i'd become on the Bandit. Writing it off in France last year was the best thing to happen to it! Only down side to the Ully apart from a warped front disk, dicky neutral light & very bouncy speedo needle (all happening within last 2weeks) is that its so comfortable that i can't go out on it without my girlfriend wanting to come too. i've never known her to be so keen to ride pillion.
Any advice on how to keep her looking fresh/new and running sweet would be great (thats the bike not the pillion)

hi dave, welcome to the forum.

I know what you mean about the pillion, my girlfriend wants to go around europe on the back of mine now too, didnt really like my last bike at all (gsx600f) think she feels a lot more comfy and safer with the backrest

I clean mine with wd40, not the brakes or plastics though, keeps it protected, lubricated and clean, but still wash with soapy water when it gets really dirty. Might switch to using ACF50 instead of the wd40 soon though just so its got the extra bit of protection through the winter.
