first a big thanks to Ash for solving my registration problem,
recently bought an x1 tuber, (love v twins) but could not ride it due to the seat being too high (short arse with a disability) got my mate to test ride it, was fine except for a small flat spot around 3- 4000rpm.
took bike off the road to lower the rear suspension, got an adjustable front bracket for the rear shock made. and replaced the standard air box with a foam filter from halfords !.
Two weeks later, bracket fitted took her out for my first spin, just a few miles down road to test, after a mile or so she started to run like a pig, coughing and missfire as i neared home, pulled up outside me house, she stopped and would not start again,
So let the problems begin !!
Will post questions about the problem in the tech section.
Great bike, love it, even though i havnt riden it much and sound well with its V&H exhaust.
Going to get a manual and an ecm spy cable and learn about the system.
So be patient with me as i know little about fuel injection ,ecm's , all my other bikes have had carbs.
Hopefully i can get it running correctly before the winter sets in

Hey, Martin

Greetings, welcome, great choice of bike etc.

Did you get any trouble codes? If the engine management light came on, then you can use that to help diagnosis.

Welcome Martin, where abouts in N.Wales? I usually get up there most weekends, in fact you missed the UKBEG Llanberis ride out yesterday. If you'd come, then there would have been 2 Buells

bike is running now but wary about taking it out until i have plugged it in to the ecm spy, but link on thier web page not working to download the software.(have posted in chat asking for detail where i can get it)
ordered a cd manual on ebay and ecm lead ordered.
codes comming up on the flash test are 15 (iat sensor) and 33 (fuel pump).
fuel pump seems to be working, can be heard priming when you turn the ignition on.
2 buells on the llanberis run, 5 miles from me(live near bangor), shame.
Missed the bmf police demo run in north wales last wk end too, thousands of bikes on that one.
Cheers for the welcome lads.

You may well know Gabbert then? He was part of the 'Deinolen' debauched party scene around that era

Adam yes i know him well gabwt,
many times round his pad on majic mushrooms etc, those were the days,
He used to go down the lake in the mornings with a bottle of fairy, dive in and wash hair etc with the fairy, very funny to watch, doubled up on the floor funny.
he got maried them split up a few years later, she was a porn star, remember seeing her bare all and i mean all in the mags,
he is still going, unfortunatly a smack head now, but still a nice bloke, friendly and honest. tis a shame.
blast from the past.

Not seen him for a few years but I'd heard from the 'Beris folk I know that he'd become a smackhead. Shame really.

Small world innit

Great arnt they, goes like shit off a shovel, i was after a big twin at first, but now i think i will stick with the buell. The big twins/sportsters are well over priced, but more comfortable for distance.
