Hi All - Good to be able to post instead of just reading others!
20 years of sports bikes ending with a VFR800 to go around europe on with my better half before I needed to exorcise my demons and try something that made me smile again  !
Looked for a big, naked ( ;) ) v twin with some character and ended up testing XB12s, two weeks later got a great deal on a XB12ss - wifey now not happy because its not as comfy as VFR!!! (Any suggestions for discreet, useable and tasteful grabrail - not too many cutting comments please, I'm new). This all happened last September and its taken me until now to have my email address accepted to register :headbang:
Any how, looking forward to taking part and contributing. I've found the website really useful - great job for keeping it going and getting it to where it is now.

You might find the Ventura system useful..........

Welcome Boke. Interesting user name there, I was wondering of the origins?
I have only ever seen one "discreet" grab rail, and I believe the owner manufactured it himself. Difficult to describe but it followed the contours of his tail tidy without obscuring the rear light.
Think you will enjoy it here, just try not to give them too much fodder! :D

A Uly seat & back rest & grab rail would fit but would beed the sub frame bit too- and would look a bit weird .............. maybe just use the sub frame and get a smaller seat made up.............

Given that he's looking for a Buell, I was thinking along similar lines but with the letters "r" and "n".

Thanks for replllllllies - finally got the L working ;)

Username is nickname from shortened surname - simples!

Looked at the Ventura system but its a bit in your face. I was thinking more along the lines of Lucky's home made contour following thingy. Any chance of any pics?

I am concerned about all the references to spannering etc - other than shaking itself to bits and naf electrics can such a simple engine really give so many probs?

How do Boke, where abouts in N Staffs are you?
I'm just between Newcastle and Market Drayton.
Are you going Llanberris this Sunday?

Nate.
