Are you sure? The 25th Anniversary model was built <08. If it is (has a blue frame) then you're fortunate as they're not prone to the alternator problems that the '09 and '10 models had. Just check the water pump witness drilling for weeping and consider fitting the Oberon clutch slave cylinder instead of replacing the seals which will leak eventually. It might be worth checking the oil screen (remove the silencer) to look for cam chain tensioner debris, some of the later '08 models were affected-I forget the Vin numbers but someone here will have them. They're a brilliant bike for the money - mine is much easier to ride than my Ducati 1198 and in the real World, just as fast. Enjoy 8-)
Any photos of it?

So, if it has a blue frame it's a 2008......registered in 2010.

Nice bike Mitty ;)

There are a few nice 1125s on here and more people in the know than anywhere else.

In town on these hot days you'll get hot petrol in the tank but don't worry about it (the smell is coming from the breather, left rear footpeg)

Have fun, shes pretty quick so watch for speed cameras (or get notifications on your satnav)

As Maz and Adam said...signature is '08.

'08 and '09 has a dipstick and 2010 has an oil check window BTW (I've never seen a 2010 in the UK)

Post some pics Mitty and where are you based?
