Hello all, I am a new recruit having just purchased a Buell which I pick up on Thursday. If you would like a chuckle at my expense check out the "really nice M2" thread. :rotfl:

I also own a 1994 Speed Triple and a Triumph Leg End which I have butchered to suit my personal tastes (see below).

2 grown up kids and a fab wife to whom I have been married for 28 years. After 32 years with BAE Systems, took redundancy 2 years ago and am currently playing at being a consultant engineer.

Looking forward to "fettling" the Cyclone and hooning across the Trough of Bowland on those tight back roads.

Welcome enjoy fettling and using your Buell. You've done a nice job of the Legend. I have a Thunderbird Sport which is great until I ride the Buell again and remember that the V twin is more grunty fun.

Hi, be good to see you at an event or two. I was out on mine today have done the niggles through the winter. Seems to be better than ever but perhaps that's just me and the new Arai hat. Cheers from me anyway. :yup:

Just read your other post. Yeah this site has a rapid turn over, they either commit suicide or wind up in therapy. I normally work in India so I'm quite adapted to it. I don't think they've made the perfect bike yet by any of the manufactures, but when you get out on the Muell and you get it how you want it I think you'll have a good laugh. Mine's an XB and I like it more than the R1 or the Aprilia that I had before. Sure it's not got the top speed, but traffic and twisty bits where I live are just good fun. It's now been mapped a bit, so its not really slow, plus it makes noises like you are going fast. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah, I'm hoping for a "Sopwith Camel" type experience, loads of noise, vibration, and the sense that you are right on the edge; without actually going that fast............ :rotfl:

Welcome!
You'll love the M2 - it's the best model, although orange and grey is the fastest colour scheme.....

Welcome. In Time some of your biking friends may come to think you have become possessed or have joined a shady cult..........nothing you say or do will reaffirm that you are normal to them! :hehe:

Welcome to the madhouse. You'll get loads of advice on here. Most of is sound advice, some of it not. As you've been an engineer that long you'll be able to sort out the wheat from the chaff. The triumph looks well :yup: . I've a 2011 speed triple I've faffed about with. Gone are the sticky out bug eye lights to be replaced with a single round lamp fork mounted. It'll look similar to yours from the front.
