Over 4 years ago I had a XB12S which was a second bike and was not being used at all (my main bike was a a BMW1150GS Adventurer) so it had to go.

Now circumstances have changed and it is the turn of the 1150GSA not to be used and it has to go. I no longer do the large mileage that I used to do and it is too heavy to get out for short trips. Also I need a bike around 200Kg to go on the back of an American RV and it does not matter how I look at the Beemer it is never going to lose 120 kgs :D

Also, I had lost the passion for the Beemer so it had to go..... :D

So, I am getting a demo XB12XT in the next two weeks and looking forward to the idle vibration, massive low end torque and being able to put my feet on the floor.

It will be a while before I change the exhaust as I really want the low V twin burble. I will probably need to change the clutch lever straight away as, with short fingers, the XB12S was never comfortable, and painful after longer rides, with the standard lever.

Anyway, happy to be back.

Welcome Adam, glad you managed to make it :)

The XT would be an excellent choice. You would have to remove the panier's to make it fit on the back of the RV, as its quite wide with them on. If you wanted a cross between the Uly and the XB then maybe the STT would suit :)

If you check the sale section there is quite a few of each in there right now ..

If you're buying from a Dealer, use MchrHD. They are by far the best dealer in your local area 8-)
