I've been preaching to the converted then :coat:

V's just sort of have it, my run around is a cb1000 big one…90k thrashed miles on the motor and till now..apart from the usual servicing (and even that has been sporadic.) …absolutely no major probe. None bar none!!

…but the 'ol girl just ain't got the heart of a twin! (actually it's nice having a machine that I can jump on knowing I'll get to the other end without a tool kit!!) :shut: :coat:

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. I miss my Bandit for the same reason,it was just easy to ride. You didn't have to be in any particular frame of mind to just get on it. All the time knowing every mile would be trouble free and insignificant. A true every day bike.

I used to be a despatch rider in the big smoke (did a bit in Oz for a bit as well…not quite London though!!) and reliability was the order of the day…nothing worse than wheeling you bike in after a hard day and having to work on it until the small hours only having to get up a few hours later to get back on it and do it all over again!!

Ugh!!! That was a job that definitly had a shelf life. Back in the day it was Cx500's and Gt500's and RT 800's for the long distance couriers….now those were just boringly reliable!!
